In our pre-production section of the Drama club there are three main tasks to accomplish. First, we need to choose a script. Good script choice will win you 75% of the battle for an award winning production. You can't have a good play without a good script. Second, we need to fully understand the script, characters, background, set, costumes, and soundtrack of the script. We must do our homework on this script so that when we have actors begin to rehearse, the director and stage-manager have a clear vision of what this play is going to look and sound like. Finally, we have to prepare for our actors. This means getting some important set pieces, props, and costumes ready for the actors. When we start rehearsals and even auditions, it is a good idea to have some of the important technical parts of the play in place.
This section of the website will be dedicated to those tasks of getting ready for play rehearsal.
